Treeline was incorporated in 1997 to meet the increased demand for service rigs.

At Treeline Well Services, we take pride in being the premier service rig vendor serving Western Canada. With a robust fleet of 50 rigs, we stand as the largest private service rig company in Canada and the second most active in the nation. Our state-of-the-art fleet includes 40 double rigs and 10 single rigs, ensuring we meet the diverse needs of our clients with unparalleled efficiency.
Since our inception in 1997, Treeline has experienced remarkable growth, both organically and through strategic acquisitions. The past decade has seen significant consolidation in the Canadian service rig industry, and we have embraced this evolution. Private equity backed since 2019, Treeline’s strategy has been focused on growth while maintaing the highest quality standards. With the addition of targeted acquisitions from Brandette Well Servicing, Reliance Well Servicing, Kodiak Well Servicing, Compass Well Servicing, and Performance Well Servicing as well as four brand newly manufactured rigs, our fleet has grown from 19 to 50 in just over five years.

Treeline proudly operates the majority of heavy hook load doubles in Canada including purpose-built packages for the SAGD region in Northern Alberta. Treeline also maintains the newest fleet of high spec rigs capable of traveling throughout Western Canada year-round. It is this focus on high quality assets adapted for our customers’ unique needs that help us maintain strong partnerships with leading energy producers.

Downforce 2.0 - Advanced Rig Technology

Treeline’s DownForce 2.0 technology is a patented solution designed to push the limits of service rig capabilities. With the power to deliver up to 30,000 foot-pounds of force, DownForce 2.0 provides operators with exceptional control and versatility in handling pipes from 2 ⅜” to 8 ⅝”. Engineered around a reliable worm gear slip assembly, it offers an adjustable stroke length of up to seven feet, making it ideal for various operational needs, including challenging milling applications and situations requiring extra pushing force on the bit.

What sets DownForce 2.0 apart is its adaptability. This system mounts seamlessly onto any Treeline KSM Rig and retracts easily, allowing rigs to operate at conventional speeds when needed. This unique design not only reduces the time required for setup, enabling a quick rig-in or rig-out in just 30 minutes, but also enhances the overall functionality of the rig, providing a streamlined approach to complex well operations.

With DownForce 2.0, Treeline redefines efficiency in well completions and production. By offering an extra layer of force when required, it opens up new possibilities for enhanced rig performance without compromising on traditional operations, helping operators meet demands efficiently and effectively.
